October 1, 2005: Student membership/permission forms due

September 22–24, 2005: Montana Festival of the Book, Missoula

September 29–October 1, 2005: Montana History Conference, Helena

October 20–21, 2005: MEA-MFT Educators Conference, Missoula

January 13, 2006: Registration due for Winter Summit Conference:

Project will pay for travel for one vehicle from each site and meals and lodging for all attendees who are included in the funded school proposal. This is a required meeting for Demonstration Sites. Affiliates are encouraged to attend.

February 6–7, 2006: Winter Summit Conference, Helena

March 1, 2006: Deadline for reserving student rooms for Student Conference

(Heritage Project makes all teacher reservations).

March 1, 2006: Registration for Student Conference due:

Each project registration must include a list of student names and a one paragraph summary of your project. Costs of student travel and lodging are the local district’s responsibility (though the Heritage Project grant can be used for this). Teacher’s travel expenses paid by the Project.

March 17, 2006: Three student essays due from Demonstration Sites

April 3–4, 2006: 8th Annual Youth Heritage Festival, Helena

April 15, 2006: Proposals for 2006-2007 school year due

May 1, 2006: Registration for teacher institute due

May 15, 2006: Three student essays due from Affiliates

June 18–24, 2006: 12th Annual Summer Teacher Institute, Butte

June 18, 2006: Final reports due from both Demonstration Sites and Affiliates. Completed project binders due from Demonstration sites.
