A Narrative History of the Montana Heritage Project

An Audio Tour for a Local Museum

Stuart Garrick

Broadus High School

Students began with a tour of the Powder River Historical Society Museum and chose different stations of the museum to study. After making careful inventory of all artifacts in their chosen station, students created a list of information needed to better understand their subjects. Students then gathered information to answer their questions from the community, public library, and resource people identified by museum staff. Students put together a written report for library archives and created a set of audio tapes for use in walking tours of the museum.
