A Narrative History of the Montana Heritage Project

Old Photographs Lend a Hand in Developing Stories About the Past

Rose Goyen

Libby High School

Students used enlarged photographs of early Libby and the surrounding area to develop stories about the past. Students relied on older community members, their families, a state archeologist, teachers, historical organizations, and courthouse records. These historic stories and photographs nicely balanced the place name research being conducted by Jeff Gruberís classes.
